There are two formal dates of importance in U.S. v. Scruggs:
Friday, March 14th: Motions hearing and pretrial conference.
Monday, March 17th: Plea deadline.
The only pending motion is the motion to dismiss filed by Zach Scruggs. I do not think resolution of that motion will be driving events or occupying much of the attention of the various parties this week. The plea deadline obviously looms large. Are there behind the scenes moves being made to increase the pressure to plead? I would presume yes but don’t know for sure.
