Mississippi Democratic Party plans boycotts, protests in wake of SCOTUS ruling
Mississippi Democratic Party chairman State Rep. Cheikh Taylor said those opposed to the ruling will practice nonviolence, such as boycotts, to protest the court's decision. He says it could lead to the loss of 17 seats in the Mississippi House of Representatives and 7 seats in the state Senate.

NAACP calls for boycott of Southern college sports programs over voting rights
The effort was launched Tuesday and it comes as civil rights activists aim to apply pressure to Republican-led state legislatures through mass protests and economic boycotts. The NAACP’s campaign calls out Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and South Carolina as states to boycott.
