Michael Guest at Neshoba: A call for Republicans to unite

By: Sarah Ulmer - August 1, 2018

Republican nominee for the Third Congressional District race, Michael Guest, took the podium and began by thanking his family, friends, and others for their support throughout this race.

He then recognized his friend, Congressman Gregg Harper, who is stepping down from his seat in the Third District, for his longtime service.

Guest reminded the crowd of his continued service as a prosecutor in Madison and Rankin Counties. His office has prosecuted more than 20,000 cases and worked to put an end to drug use in his district.

“I have dedicated my professional career to see that our communities remain great places to live, to worship, and to raise a family,” said Guest.

Guest is running on a conservative platform that believes in family values and limited government. Guest said he represents part of a movement of American’s that are trying to ensure that Republican’s stay in control in Congress.

“Read any news story or analysis of the elections across the country and story after story talks about how Republicans nationwide are fighting to keep the majority in the United States Congress but it’s going to be very, very close as to which party has majority control in the House and Senate,” Guest said. “That’s why this election in Mississippi is so important to our future.”
