There was early speculation that he may run for lieutenant governor. I can assure you he would have won the Democratic nomination in that race if he had indeed run. And like an indy run for sheriff, we can speculate on how he would have done in a general election but we obviously don’t know. Tate Reeves is obviously a formidable candidate for the office, and the Republican banner is certainly the preferred label for statewide elections.
