Dan Mullen’s star on the rise in Starkville
Is Mullen the guy who one day will take over for Meyer? That could be several years away. But his star certainly is on the rise. Right now, he scoffs at such talk and is focused on building something in Starkville. It’s been a long time since the cowbells were magical in the SEC. But Mullen actually has the league taking the Bulldogs seriously.
It will be interesting to see what develops in his second season, when coaches traditionally do some of their best work and have the most impact.
