Southeastern Conference leaders to discuss kicking LSU out of league over player eligibility dispute
On Tuesday, the SEC amended a federal lawsuit, seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent LSU from blocking the meeting. A two-thirds vote from the conference's CEOs is needed to remove LSU, a founding member since 1933.

SEC joins Big Ten in banning pros from returning to college, including basketball players
The two conferences issued their new rules in response to court orders that were allowing players who had been on pro rosters, then released, to return back to college. LSU football coach Lane Kiffin has sought to add two such players previously from Ole Miss.
