Moncrief continues to have strong showings in every event he has attended this offseason. With a shorthanded team, Moncrief played a lot of cornerback to go with his normal duties of wide receiver. On offense, he is just so big, strong and fast. When he catches the ball, he is very fast vertically after the catch. In this setting, he is downed with one hand touch but with his strength, he looks very capable of muscling through the initial tackle and getting a lot of yards after the catch once the pads come on.
18. JERMAINE WHITEHEAD
CB, 6-0/183, Greenwood (Miss.) Amanda Elzy
Whitehead has competed in a number of events this spring and summer and he seems to improve each and every time he takes the field. Due to the limited Mississippi numbers, Whitehead played a lot of wide receiver this weekend and showcased his versatility and ball skills. Just a few short months ago, Whitehead was a raw athlete at cornerback but is already looking like a more polished player that can compete with any other defensive back in the country.
