GWC – No pardon for DeLaughter
Charles Evers’ loyalty to Bobby DeLaughter is certainly understandable. DeLaughter is the main reason that the assassin of Evers’ brother, Medgar, was finally brought to justice 30 years after the slaying of the civil rights leader.
But that 1994 conviction of Byron De La Beckwith was “then” in the professional career of DeLaughter. What is “now” is a disgraced former judge who lied to FBI agents in an effort to save his skin.
