League’s volatility may offer surprises
TAMPA, FLA. — In a Monday morning meeting with his assistants, interim Alabama coach coach Philip Pearson remarked at how the pundits always think every year’s SEC Tournament is wide-open.
“But I think when you look at it this year,” Pearson said later, “it’s as wide open as I can ever remember it.”
That seems to be the consensus of the league’s coaches and observers as they prepare for this year’s event, which tips off Thursday at noon CT in the St. Pete Times Forum with Ole Miss playing Kentucky.
