Tuberville’s challenge: Don’t go down without a fight

Won’t someone somewhere, anyone anywhere, say something nice about Tommy Tuberville?
Nick from Tuscaloosa, go ahead.
“Tommy’s a good friend. I have a tremendous amount of professional respect for him. He’s done a fantastic job at wherever he’s coached as a head coach. I had a lot of respect for him as an assistant coach and a defensive coordinator.

“We want nothing but the best for his future.”
You know times are tough for the Auburn football coach when the best public compliment he’s gotten in ages comes from the Alabama football coach.
And it comes five days before the Iron Bowl.
We’re a long way from Ray Perkins vs. Pat Dye.
