SEC mailbag: More on the late field goal

Time to empty out the mailbag, and I appreciate all the nice notes from Florida fans, who insist that Urban Meyer would never dream of running the score up on anybody. Also, for you Auburn fans, I apologize for the confusion on the Robert Dunn story last Saturday. Yes, I know he’s a receiver. What I was attempting to convey was that while he wasn’t a focal point of the Auburn offense, he was quickly becoming the offense’s best friend with his punt return prowess. I’ve clarified that now in the story. On to your questions:

Paul from Nashville writes: Chris, have you forgotten about the insane polls and BCS system? How can any coach hoping to play for the national title sit on the ball when his team can score more points at the end of a game against a big name like Miami? To compare that with Georgia’s end-zone dancing and take issue with Urban Meyer is ridiculous. You are stretching to make a story where none exists.
