Pierce knocks Diaz off bench

The Clarion-Ledger, 11/5/8 State Justice Oliver Diaz Jr. survived two criminal trials and Hurricane Katrina but he couldn’t survive his re-election bid. With 98 percent of the precincts reporting Tuesday night, challenger Bubba Pierce defeated Diaz 58 percent to 42 percent. “We are pleased with the districtwide support,” Pierce said.
