Arkansas ready for No.1 challenge

The company line out of Fayetteville, Ark., is that the Razorbacks weren’t ready last year. They rolled into Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium short on self-esteem and it showed: the eventual SEC and BCS national champion Crimson Tide blasted Arkansas, 35-7.

Mallett and the Razorbacks have spent 52 weeks, and this past one in particular, looking for revenge. Results-wise, they’ll find out Saturday how they match up with Alabama, still kings of the conference and the nation’s near-unanimous No. 1 team. Confidence-wise, though, they say they’re sure they won’t be afraid come kickoff.
