Rebels finished celebrating win over Florida
OXFORD, Miss. — Upon arriving back to the Ole Miss campus Saturday evening, fresh off his team’s stunning 31-30 win at previously fourth-ranked Florida, Rebels quarterback Jevan Snead relished in what he saw.
”It was great,” the redshirt sophomore quarterback said. ”Everybody was so excited and still on their high from the win. It was just a great day, a great feeling.”
The win snapped a nine-game Southeastern Conference losing streak for Ole Miss, which had dropped all eight of its league games a year ago. To do so against a team that was looking to compete for its second national championship in three seasons made it that much sweeter.
But two days later, on Monday afternoon, Snead and his teammates had had enough.
‘I think it’s about time for us to move on, just like we did after losses,” he said. ”We’ve got to watch film and take what we can from it. It’s time now to focus on this weekend.”
