LSU notes: Miles says team is focused
BATON ROUGE — Despite a third straight week of storm watching and waiting, LSU coach Les Miles does not think his team is distracted as it prepares for Saturday’s 7 p.m. game in Tiger Stadium against North Texas.
“I’m not really concerned that their focus has changed,” Miles said Wednesday after practice. “To me, they’ve been pretty similar in approach every day. I don’t think that the storm has had a tremendous, telling effect. We had a game week that ended last Thursday with a scrimmage. We took the weekend off. So this is really kind of a normal game week. There’s been less distractions this week than last.”
LSU began practice Wednesday outdoors but had to move into the indoor facility after some rain.
“Practice went well,” Miles said. “We got a lot done even though the rain chased us inside. It was a good work day. We need another good day again, get our legs back under us and we’ll be ready to play Saturday.”
