Lumberton mayoral candidates announced for special election
D. Kent Crider, Jonathon Griffith and Jerry Walters qualified last week for the city’s top seat, which was vacated last month by Ben Winston.
Crider currently serves as Ward 1 Alderman, and Griffith writes for the Lumberton Informer blog. Walters is the retired fire chief and serves as an ordained minister.
The election is Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
