Obama sending jobs bill to Congress
After spending the weekend commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11, President Obama will shift his focus back to his jobs bill today.
In a Rose Garden statement at 10:40 a.m., the president will announce that he is sending the $447 billion bill to Congress this evening.
In his remarks, the president will once again call on Congress to pass the bill, which includes tax cuts, assistance for the unemployed and aid for new construction and infrastructure projects.
