Well, friends, we are just six days away from victory. This has been one of the best weeks yet for our campaign, and I truly believe that we are peaking at the right time.
We recently received some great news — as our campaign has been gaining support, our opponent’s has been losing ground. Our hard work is paying off, and the race is now neck-and-neck.
I sincerely think that we are in a great place. Our fundraising is still going strong, and we now have almost $240,000 in the bank, $80,000 more than our opponent.
We also have the right conservative message. I have a conservative agenda, and I believe my record proves that I can get it done. I don’t run away from difficult fights. In fact, just this weekend, I was named “National Legislator of the Year” by the American Legislative Exchange Council, the nation’s largest nonpartisan, individual membership organization of state legislators, for my record of taking on the tough issues.
We have the right people behind us. I am very proud to have earned endorsements from Mississippi Right to Life and the National Rifle Association. And our grassroots organization is strong and vibrant, stretching to every corner of the state.
Friends, with the great momentum, a fundraising advantage, the right message, and great people like you behind us, we are on our way to victory on August 7th.
Now it is up to you to make it happen. Sharon and I have been working late nights and early mornings for the last months now, but regardless of how hard we work between now and election day, we can’t win this election without you.
So please talk to your friends and family. Tell them about our conservative agenda to move Mississippi forward. With your help, we can take Mississippi to the next level.
