Attorney General Jim Hood said Monday he had not decided whether to appeal a federal court ruling that would dramatically change the way elections are held in Mississippi.
On Monday, Hood, who as attorney general is the state’s attorney, said, “We will file a motion to clarify whether the order attempts to mandate that the state implement a voter identification requirement. After the court rules on that motion, we will then review the decision and clarification before determining whether to appeal.”
