Wicker Meets With General Dunford
Miss. Senator Sits Down With Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Prior to Senate Hearing
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss., a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, today met with Gen. Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in advance of an anticipated Senate hearing to consider reconfirming the General for the military’s top post.
Wicker and Dunford discussed the need for a 355-ship Navy, as well as a number of national security concerns such as North Korea, China, and Syria.
