‘To-go cup’ bill signed by Gov. Bryant
Governor Phil Bryant has signed what’s been dubbed the ‘to-go cup’ bill into law. This law will allow people to carry to-go cups of alcohol out of bar and restaurants in designated areas.
Right now in Mississippi, all alcohol must be consumed or left before leaving a bar or restaurant. The measure will apply to cities with downtown entertainment districts. Each interested city will have to establish a zone in which patrons would be allowed open containers.
