Bill ensures clean breastfeeding areas in workplaces
The Senate recently passed a bill that would ensure women have a “clean space” to breastfeed at work.
Sponsored by Sen. Hillman Frazier, D-Jackson, and Sen. Tammy Witherspoon, D-McComb, Senate Bill 2070 states in part that employers provide employees the “benefit of private, secure, sanitary room or other location in close proximity to an employee’s work area, other than a bathroom or toilet stall, where employees can express milk.”
