McDaniel says Cochran stole election in fundraising email
“The problem is that court cases are expensive, and we don’t currently have the resources to mount the legal challenge that this case deserves. Please, take a moment to contribute to the Election Challenge Fund to help me contest this corrupt election,” McDaniel wrote in the email.
The email contains paid-for disclosure language from McDaniel’s campaign PAC. The fundraising page where donations are made is paid for by “The McDaniel Legal Fund.” According to the Federal Elections Committee website, no statement of organization for such a group exists. However, paperwork is not posted immediately to the FEC website.
McDaniel has made the rounds on national conservative talk radio programs and Sean Hannity’s program on Fox News. In most interviews he gives a fundraising pitch to help fund the lawsuit challenge.
