PMI poll has Cochran leading McDaniel 42-41 #MSSen

Mississippi Senate race: Thad Cochran regains lead, but teeters on the edge

Now polling may indicate Cochran is on the rise. Two Republican-leaning polling firms have Cochran leading.

Harper Polling has Cochran leading, 45 percent to 40 percent. The poll of likely voters was done May 27 and 28.

A poll by PMI Inc. of Marianna, Fla., had Cochran leading 42 percent to 41 percent. The poll was done May 28 and 29.

But a Democratic polling firm, Chism Strategies, done May 29, has McDaniel leading, 46.4 percent to 44.3 percent. The poll was only of likely voters who voted in the previous three Republican primaries of 2008, 2010 and 2012.
