By: Magnolia Tribune - September 26, 2012

THE MISSISSIPPI FEDERATION OF COLLEGE REPUBLICANS AWARDED GRANT, PLANS ROMNEY PHONE BANK

Jackson, Miss., Sept. 26, 2012— The Mississippi Federation of College Republicans (MFCR) announces they will receive a grant from the College Republican National Committee.

The MFCR has organized statewide calling banks held on campuses and sponsored by the chapter of that location. The grant will be used to provide refreshments for the college student participants.

“The Federation is driven to ensure that Mr. Obama is a one term president, and we’re not the only ones,” said Robert Smith, Chairman of Mississippi State University College Republicans.

“The phone banks will allow Mississippi students to become involved in the campaign in a convenient method,” said Smith, a senior from Collierville, Tenn.

The MFCR phone bank is set for October 22. For more information on how you can help or become involved in this initiative, please email MFCR at mscollegerepublicans@gmail.com.
