Price broke free in Madison Central’s 49-7 demolition of Warren Central, carrying 16 times for 251 yards and five touchdowns.
The senior running back was suddenly free of his early-season trials, a burden cut loose by Mississippi State’s scholarship offer on Oct. 6. He committed to the Bulldogs the next day. Price got his second offer Monday from Ole Miss.
“I came into this year trying to prove a lot of stuff,” Price said. “I think struggled in the beginning of the season because I was trying (to do too much). I had a lot of problems and a lot of breakdowns on the field because I felt like I had to fight for a scholarship.
“When I finally got it, I felt like a lot of pressure was off of me. That meant a lot to me because nobody in my family’s ever had a scholarship.
