Noose found hanging near Jackson judge’s home
Shamsi-Deen, who lives in south Jackson, said he saw the noose on Sunday hanging from the inside of his shed, which is about 50 feet from his home.
He said it was made of a thin rope and was tied to the shed’s rafters.
“Whoever did it had to have a ladder to get way up there,” Shamsi-Deen said.
He said he is not sure if someone was targeting him because he is a judge or because he is one of few blacks in a mostly white neighborhood. Shamsi-Deen said it’s the first such incident since he moved to the home two years ago.
