McCain raises $21M in May; RNC nearly $23M
Republican John McCain collected $21.5 million in May — his best month of presidential fundraising, campaign officials said Thursday.
The Arizona senator enters June with $31.5 million cash on hand.
McCain has been raising money in a joint effort with the Republican National Committee, which reported raising $23.7 million in May, party officials said. The RNC had $53.6 million in the bank at the start of June.
