Senators say more than $11 million going to Miss. airports

The U.S. Department of Transportation has released more than $11 million for airport improvements in Mississippi.

Republican Sens. Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker say the funds, to be administered by the Federal Aviation Administration, will go to 23 airports.

The amount of the grants range from $741,606 each to the Tunica Municipal Airport and the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, to $58,900 to the Hattiesburg Bobby L Chain Municipal Airport.
