Scruggs trial ties together a complex web of cases

Friday, Scruggs and lawyer colleague Sidney Backstrom of Oxford pleaded guilty to one county of conspiring to bribe Circuit Judge Henry L. Lackey for a favorable ruling on a lawsuit over Hurricane Katrina insurance-case legal fees.
