Baria/Cuevas race may go into extra innings

By: Magnolia Tribune - August 29, 2007

The word on the street is that the Baria/Cuevas Senate primary on the Coast may go into extra legal innings in the form of a legal challenge. Cuevas is already bringing help to review the results. According to the Cuevas camp, there were many voting irregularities.

If appealed to the State Democratic Party, it is possible that they may punt and this issue would wind up in court and presumably appealed by the losing side all the way to the Supreme Court. With the Senate in the balance, all eyes may wind up on this review in the coming days/weeks.
