The newest member of Jackson’s City Council likely will be the deciding vote in who will lead the council.
After Ben Allen resigned as Ward 1 councilman in June, the remaining six members tried to elect a new president. But the council split 3-3 between Frank Bluntson and Leslie McLemore.
Jeff Weill, who was elected Tuesday to replace Ben Allen as Ward 1 councilman, said he has not yet made up his mind whom he will support.
