Incumbent Jim Hood faces no opposition in the Democratic Primary, nor does his Republican opponent, Alben N. “Al” Hopkins, seeking to go from retired major general in the Mississippi National Guard to a general of a different sort.
Hood’s re-election campaign seems almost assured.
