Mike Moore’s running for Lt. Gov.
Though it may or may not be true, it is no joke. The rumor is circulating in political circles that Mike Moore is weighing a run at Lt. Governor. If so, he would be the presumptive nominee to run against the winner of Bryant vs. Ross. His motivations are rumored to be payback against the…

In the Bullpen
When asked about 2007, Tate predictably downplays his intentions. It is fairly obvious that he intends to run again for Treasurer, but as a man who watches over billions of dollars, he plays his cards pretty close to the vest.

A Doe-Eyed Interview with Melton
A Doe-Eyed Interview with Melton For 12 months of bluster and the “if-I-ever-get-my-hands-on-him” fury, the JFP interview with Frank Melton turned into doe-eyed fawning of the man. Melton completely controlled the interview (as if there were any doubt). Funny how everyone’s a villan until they talk to the JFP. It seems to follow a long…

New Melton Poll a Setup
by Alan Lange I had really committed myself tonight not to comment about this poll. Given the sponsors, I placed very little stock in the results. But I have to say I knew I smelled a rat when I watched WAPT tonight and saw the phrasings of the questions posed in this supposed poll. WAPT…

Faith Hill joins Babs on the political margin
Some people should just do what they are good at . . . like singing the national anthem or living in a multi-million dollar mansion in Nashville. Jackson native Faith Hill and her brain surgeon of a husbandstep out to criticize the recovery effort. Fortunately, that carries as much weight as Barbra Streisand’s MiSPllin-laden monthly…

Donkey’s Last Stand
The Mississippi Democratic Party has filed a lawsuit to enforce "loyalty oaths" to exclude voters from their June primary. Can you say "poll tax"?
