We open in a meeting room at a Destin, Fla., resort. Southeastern Conference commissioner Mike Slive sits at the head of the table, looking over a pair of reading glasses perched on his nose. He has an exasperated look on his face as he meets with the SEC football coaches.
Mike Slive: OK, men. There’s been far too much taunting and too much negative talk this off-season.
