PARRISH ALFORD:Strength vs. strength -and the Rebels prevail

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – You knew this would happen at some point. You just knew it.
OK, maybe you just really believed it would happen.

Or maybe you believed it could happen and hoped really hard that it would happen.

Success is often of the mind, and there’s been enough success in these parts that I’d venture to say not a soul in “The Swamp” believed their quarterback, Tim Tebow, would gain anything less than what was necessary to keep their unbeaten season moving forward when the Gators faced fourth-and-1.
If Ole Miss fans are honest with themselves many were rolling their eyes, saying “Here we go again.”
It was playing out in such a predictable manner. The team that gets it done against the team that doesn’t.

This time, the team that doesn’t did. The Rebels made the necessary plays and won their biggest game in 31 years. Not since a 20-13 win against then-No. 3 Notre Dame in 1977 had the Rebels beaten a top five foe.
