GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ed Orgeron was considered a good recruiter who on game day was, well, a good recruiter.
Coaching ’em up wasn’t his strength, which is one of the main reasons his three years as the Ole Miss football coach ended abruptly last year after yet another close loss.
Fortunately for the Rebels, Orgeron did bring in some pretty talented players. And just as fortunately, this time chancellor Robert Khayat appears to have hired a coach who knows what to do in September as much as he does in February.
