OXFORD — Ole Miss defensive end Greg Hardy wore full pads during Tuesday’s practice, and coaches said they were impressed with his mobility as he continues to recover from a stress fracture in his right foot.
“He looked good,” coach Houston Nutt said. “He’s going every couple of plays and we’ll see how the soreness is tomorrow, but it’s good to have him out here in full pads.”
Nutt said he could tell that Hardy’s foot was still tender. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound junior has missed more than a month because of the injury, which was suffered during the opening week of preseason practice.
Nutt has said he hopes Hardy will be able to play this Saturday against Vanderbilt, but he’s unsure how much.
