Ohio State won’t fool us again

Ohio State won’t fool us again

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three times, and now we’re talking about Ohio State football.
Maybe it’s shame on all of us for believing that this time the Buckeyes really were ready for the national stage.

But apparently some things are just not meant to be. For the third time in its last 17 games, Ohio State was playing a much-anticipated game against a highly ranked opponent, a game that had national championship implications, the kind of game college football fans live for.
And for the third time … well, who knew UAB would give Tennessee a better game than Ohio State would give Southern Cal? The Buckeyes trailed by 18 at halftime; the Blazers by only 14. And they both lost by a 35-3 score.
How do you explain it? The Buckeyes, not the Blazers.
