New Orleans, LA (AHN) – After several grueling surgeries, injured running back Deuce McAllister is back with New Orleans for at least one more season.
Originally drafted in 2001, he was seen as the possible solution to having a forceful running game. He has rushed for 1,000 yards in three straight seasons – the first runningback to accomplish this for New Orleans.
He also has 69 receptions for 516 yards, and – in 2003, he posted 2,157 total yards, second best in the NFC. His stellar performances both handling the ball, and receiving it, got him placed on two consecutive pro-bowls.
