Three state Senate candidates from Gulfport want you to go out and vote Tuesday
A Baptist youth pastor, a special events promoter and a real estate agent want to replace Sean Tindell in the state Senate.
Tindell was appointed to the Appeals Court by Gov. Phil Bryant in October and resigned from office a short time later. Ron Meyers, owner of Ron Meyers Productions, Dan Carr, the youth pastor at Faith Baptist Church, and Joel Carter, owner of J. Carter and Company Real Estate and Development, are running to be the next state senator in District 49, which snakes from west Biloxi, down the beach in Gulfport, up into Orange Grove and on into Harrison County. All three are from Gulfport.
