Margie Pulley set to run JPS, if takeover happens
The state Board of Education named Margie Pulley as interim superintendent for the Jackson Public Schools on Thursday, provided a state takeover of the district happens…
…Under Pulley’s leadership Tunica County was one of the few district to improve under a takeover.
Rated a D for the 2015 school year, Tunica schools improved to a successful C rating in 2016.
That turnaround earned Pulley praise from the state Board of Education.
Much of that improvement came from student growth in math and English.
