Arts Commission transfer bills are dead

Bills proposing a merger of the Arts Commission into the Developmental Authority died in committee Tuesday.

Two bills – one in the House and one in the Senate – would have folded the Arts Commission into the Mississippi Developmental Authority, transferring all duties of the current commission to the economic development office.
