5 vie for state House District 106 seat
Five candidates will square off Nov. 8 in a special election for Mississippi House District 106, which represents parts of Pearl River and Lamar counties.
John Glen Corley, Larry D. Davis, Greg Holcomb, Ben Winston and Daniel Wise will vie for the seat, which was left vacant when former representative Herb Frierson resigned in June after being appointed commissioner of revenue. Frierson had held the position since 1992.
The winner will fill out the remainder of Frierson’s term, which wraps up in early January 2020.
