Pascagoula voters approve restaurant tax increase
The second time proved to be the charm for Pascagoula’s proposed restaurant tax increase.
Residents went to the polls on Tuesday, with 61 percent voting in favor of the 2 percent tax hike. When the same issue was on the ballot on August 30, it garnered 56 percent support, just short of the 60 percent needed to go on the books.
