Governor announces Praxair, GE aviation joint venture in Ellisville

ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) – Following a competitive site-selection process, Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), and GE Aviation today announced the formal creation of joint venture PG Technologies, LLC, which will primarily be located in Ellisville.

According to a news release issued by the office of Governor Bryant, this location will supplement the services from other PG Technologies locations in Indianapolis, Ind., and the Republic of Singapore, as well as from the global facility network of Praxair Surface Technologies. Praxair Surface Technologies and its subsidiary will hold the majority interest in the joint venture, with GE Aviation and its subsidiary holding the remainder.

The project will increase employment at the former GE Aviation facility to 250 by 2020, with the potential to grow to 400 jobs.
