Governor says Mississippi not getting credit it deserves
“Unfortunately, the blame-Mississippi-first crowd keeps right on going, but this is a great state filled with wonderful people,” he told the crowd.
The governor was the final speaker on what in essence was three, instead of the normal two, days of political speakings. The first day was Tuesday when Donald Trump Jr., son of the Republican presidential nominee, spoke at the historic fair.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the normal group of statewide officials and local officials spoke, ending with the governor.
