COCHRAN STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF JUSTICE ANTONIN SCALIA
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, today released the following statement regarding the passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia:
“I am grateful to Justice Scalia for his service to our nation as an exceptional jurist and champion of the Constitution. His legacy will be as an intellect who influenced our nation and the court as a clear, consistent voice of conservative principles. I am proud to have known and supported him.
“I extend my sincere condolences to his wife and family.”

US and China take a step back from sky-high tariffs, agree to pause for 90 days
