Party switch gives GOP supermajority, strengthens Gunn
The House Republican Caucus met at the Capitol on Thursday, and unanimously renominated Gunn as speaker for the new four-year term starting in January. It also renominated Rep. Greg Snowden, R-Meridian, as speaker pro tempore and Andrew Ketchings as clerk of the House. Their elections in January are formality.
