Russell named to appeals court
Former Hinds County Circuit Judge Ermea “EJ” Russell has been appointed to the Mississippi Court of Appeals, effective May 23.
Gov. Haley Barbour said Russell will replace Leslie D. King, now a state Supreme Court justice.
Russell will represent District 2, Position 2 on the appellate bench for the remainder of the term, which ends in January 2013.
